Welcome to Alison Moyet Forums!

It is our continuing mission to provide the highest quality global on-line community experience for our members, and following these guidelines is the best way for our members to assist us in maintaining a healthy, safe and comfortable environment for everyone to enjoy. These guidelines are very basic and we ask that you you take a few minutes to read them fully.

We both welcome and encourage you to participate in this Alison Moyet global on-line community, however as with all social circles there are a few guidelines that must be agreed upon in order to maintain your active membership within these forums.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in making this community experience a pleasurable one for all of our members.

1) Enjoy yourself. These forums are intended for the discussion of Alison Moyet and other topics that may be of interest to Alison's fans. You can have a great time posting and we look forward to making your acquaintance.

2) Respect for Alison and her management. We are very fortunate that both Alison and her management take the time to visit and post here at Alison Moyet Forums, and it is important that we show our appreciation by not making any rude comments to or demands of either Alison or her management. While they do post in this forum, at no time should any member attempt to contact either Alison or her management directly.

3) Respect for all members. Alison Moyet Forums is a global community that both enjoys and respects all members regardless of race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, religious belief &/or personal opinion. We will at no time permit that any of our members be on the receiving end of inappropriate, offensive or hate-biassed comments. While swearing is not entirely forbidden, we will not allow the use of any words or phrases that could be taken as insulting or offensive to any group of people. Please choose your words carefully.

4) Posts in a particular forum need to stay on topic. Alison Moyet Forums has been set up and designed in such a way that there are conveniently designated areas for members to discuss a various range of both Alison Moyet related and 'off-topic' subjects. If you would like to talk about something that is significantly removed from the topic of a thread or forum section please take a moment to look for the appropriate place to post. As a general rule 'off-topic' subjects should be discussed in the 'Beyond Moyet' forum section.

5) No Attacks / Retaliation of any kind against a member, or group of members. While healthy debate is always welcome at Alison Moyet Forums, we can not allow any member to either attack, insult, intentionally cause conflict or provoke another member. If you feel that you are being provoked please do not post a reply. Since most conflict is generally the result of simple misunderstanding we ask that you attempt to resolve the matter via PM (personal messaging). If you have tried unsuccessfully to resolve the matter via PM you may contact a member of our administrative team for assistance.

6) Signatures / Avatars. In an effort to keep the board moving quickly for members who are not fortunate enough to have access to a high-speed connection, we do not allow either image or download signatures. Avatar Images must be no larger than 100 x 100 pixels.

7) Audio / Image Uploads. We encourage sharing here at Alison Moyet Forums, but in the process of doing so we must show respect for both Alison and other recording artists. For this reason we require that you not upload any music tracks that are presently commercially available (still in production for sale by any record label). Image uploads should be limited to 700 pixels in width for proper viewing in forum.

8) Advertising. Advertising any service or website that is not related to Alison Moyet or that detracts from general forum social life is not permitted.

9) Personal Messaging (PM) / Chat Room / Email. Harassment, Threatening, Spamming, or otherwise offensive use of our Personal Messaging (PM), Chat Room or Email services is not permitted. Please understand that you are expected to display the same level of respect when using these services as is expected of you in the forums.

10) Search Option. Detailed instructions and useful tips related to a wide range of both the above listed and additional topics can be found in our Help Topics section. While our administrative team is happy to assist it is important that you first take a moment to either search our Help Topics or use the forum's search feature prior to either posting questions in the forum or requesting the assistance of a member of our administrative team.

11) Administrative Communications. Should any member of our Administrative team need to contact you via either PM or email please reply within 7 days. Should you not reply within a 7 day period it will be assumed that you no longer wish to be an active member of Alison Moyet Forums and your membership may be withdrawn pending further contact.

12) Administrative Action. We reserve the right to move, edit or delete posts in any case where we find that any forum guideline has not been adhered to. In extreme &/or repeat cases our administrative team also reserves the right to either suspend or ban members without warning. Please note that the above guidelines cannot cover every topic that might present itself. If a forum administrator requests that you stop doing something we ask that you comply. Alison Moyet Forums reserves the right to change or alter these guidelines at any time without any notification. Please note that an Administrator's word is final.
